GOAT

Australia is the world's largest exporter of goat meat. There is a strong demand for this type of red meat both domestically and overseas. Traditionally Australian Bush goats (rangeland goats) and Boer goats are used for meat production.

Goat meat is the most widely consumed meat in the world. There are few, if any, religious taboos limiting goat meat consumption. In fact, goat meat is an important component of the traditions of the Hindu and Muslim faiths.
